Hi there! Christina here. These fries are crazy easy, really crispy, and so much healthier than normal fries. Literally baked & seasoned! We love making these fries when we make our BBQ & Bacon Chicken Sandwiches or our Summer Blueberry & Peach Turkey Burgers. I especially enjoy making them because I get to add & try new spice combinations. We try to use individual spices instead of the sometimes easier "mixes," such as "Italian seasoning" because we can then control how much salt goes on them. Nathan makes a sweet Honey BBQ sauce that goes great with these babies too (Recipe in the last step). MMMHMM! Let us know what you think of baked French fries & Enjoy!

Ingredients

Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees while you peel and cut potatoes into fry slices. Feel free to cut them into thin circular slices as well. These won't make them potato chips, don't worry, they just get a little crispier a little faster cause they aren't as thick. We always switch it up so try them both ways!

Raw French Fries

Use a large bowl to season your fries. Toss your potato slices and ¼ cup of olive oil in your bowl until all fries are covered in olive oil. Add 5 shakes of each spice & toss again until all fries have spices. (Repeat until desired spice amount. *I love to make my fries really spicy) Also, if you all you have at home is Salt & Pepper that is okay too!

Seasoned French Fries

Cover baking sheets in foil, very lightly spritz olive oil and a few shakes of salt to prevent the fries from sticking to the foil. Put in the oven for 35-40 minutes.

French Fries Baking

Flip the fries at the 35 minute mark (they will be browning on the side facing the heat. Once flipped let bake for 10-15 more minutes.

Take out, let cool, and enjoy! If you want to try the BBQ Sauce that Nathan makes, all you have to do is take about 1/2 cup of ordinary BBQ sauce and add a tablespoon of honey and a few shakes of cayenne pepper. This makes a delicious homemade Honey BBQ sauce that is a tad bit sweet with just enough heat!
