The Mighty Eagle you say? What could that possible be? Well, we'll tell you. This drink was a little creation we came up with after a fun day of hiking with friends and our pup out in California - to Eagle Rock. Eagle Rock, is quite literally, a bunch of rocks that oddly enough, look like an eagle. It's actually really impressive (mighty!)! The hike is about 5.5 miles round trip and boy do you feel it. It's not that the hike is steep, but it has a rolling terrain. You go through just about every environment - which is pretty cool to be able to do in the span of 5.5 miles. The drink is also partially named after "Mighty Eagle" from the movie "Angry Birds." The way the character says his name was how we were pronouncing the name of the hike the entire time (sorry, friends - we're ridiculous haha). Anyhow, we came back dusty and ready to relax - and have more friends over for dinner! We can't sit still...

The Mighty Eagle is a play on The Vesper, with a twist of orange and bitters. This makes the drink a little more approachable and cuts through the Gin and Vodka really nicely and exposes the floral notes of the Lillet beautifully. If you've had a mighty day - you deserve a Mighty Eagle. Enjoy!
