Manhattan is full of amazing and influential people, but it is very infrequent you really get to talk to them. One evening (date night) we were out, enjoying the atmosphere of one of our favorite restaurant/bars when we came across a woman named Judy. We chatted with her about her recent trip to Maine (we'd been talking about visiting ourselves), the area around us (turned out we were neighbors of sorts), and a bunch of different things. She introduced us to a specialty cocktail that she always asks the bartender at this restaurant to make for her. We tried it & LOVED it! But, this cocktail was without a name...

We decided to name this cocktail the "Judy" after realizing that we have had a few different encounters with amazing women in our lives whom all share the same name: Judy. As a special honor, you should note that the cutting board in these photos was actually MADE BY HAND from one of these incredible woman. You know who you are Judy, and we just want you to know that the strength, beauty, and support that this cutting board has brought to our kitchen is the same strength, beauty, and support you have brought to our lives. You rock our socks infinitely :)

Ingredients

Directions

Start by juicing your lemon into your glass with 3-4 ice cubes. Add in your whiskey and agave nectar (or honey) into your glass. Using a cocktail shaker (or a mason jar works just as well) shake your concoction very, very, well. Pour your mix back into your glass (or keep in mason jar) and add your ginger beer to top it off! Cheers.
