Smoothies are the BEST! Why? Because there are so many different combinations out there! I love making smoothies for breakfast, post-workout, or just as an afternoon snack to cool down after a busy morning. Smoothies help those who aren't big on fruits and veggies to get in all the greatness those foods have to offer in just a few delicious sips! I'm big on incorporating greens and sneaking in chia seeds in my smoothies for extra health benefits! This vegan blueberry coconut smoothie is definitely one of my favorites! Give it a try!

Ingredients

Directions

I use frozen blueberries to save money and forgo the risk of fruit spoiling. We make most of our smoothies from frozen fruit. Definitely cost effective and the frozen fruit acts like ice so you don't need to add any ice! But, fresh goods work just as well.

Add the almond milk. Almond milk is wonderful, light and my favorite (lactose free). Add your almond milk or milk to your smoothie. Along with coconut shreds. These are also wonderful, one of those "keep in your pantry at all times" ingredients. I use them in a lot of my cookie recipes like Warm Carob Morning Muffins!

Frozen bananas, toss those in too. If you haven't read through my other recipes, I use bananas a lot. I mean, they're super diverse, and if you're not a banana person, we'll work through it. We can still be friends, I get it :)

Add in flax and chia if that's a thing you do. I recommend it, but it's optional.

Blend your ingredients in a blender. You might need to add a little extra almond milk to get the blades spinning. Blend away and enjoy!
